It kind of came as a last minute thing. And I have no idea why I'm doing it. I mean, I haven't been to Mass in over six years. I'm not Catholic anymore. And even when I was, I didn't always observe Lent. This is a bit of a random decision.
But for some reason, I feel like it's absolutely necessary.
I guess we'll see how it goes. Maybe it'll work. Maybe I'll feel closer to God after all this. Or maybe I'll hate myself for giving up listening to my iPod for 40 days.
There's only one way to find out.
