TODAY :)

Ohmagosh, I am in love with today, and it's not even over yet.
Shall I expound?

I went to Russian class this morning (the ONLY class I will have attended today, more on that later), and I actually understood everything the teacher said. Like, I really knew what my teacher was talking about. If you know me at all, you know that I've been falling madly behind in my Russian class. I was so astounded at my knowledge this morning that I bought myself donuts for breakfast. [please disregard the fact that I buy donuts for breakfast EVERY morning...]

As I was eating breakfast, I inadvertently found myself in the middle of a mob. The BYU vs. Florida game had just started, and they were showing it on the big screen. I found some friends in the crowd to watch the game with. Though I had every intention of going to class at 11:00, I became irreversibly absorbed in the game and ended up skipping my next two classes. We won in double overtime, 99-90. I'm pretty sure I don't have a voice right now. This amazing game ignited my passion for this March Madness season. I'm paying special attention to the teams in my bracket, and I'm way excited to see who makes the Final Four.
K-State is playing right now. I'm definitely following the game on ESPN as I'm typing this.

I walked home in the beautiful sunshine, a most perfect day in Provo. I didn't even have to wear a jacket. And when I got to my apartment, what should I find at my door step but the two Snuggies that I ordered in December! I tore that package open and put on my zebra-printed reverse robe as quickly as I could. You better believe I'm wearing it right now. Granted, I'm a little peeved that it took till springtime for me to get these in the mail, but I don't really care; I friggen LOVE my Snuggies :)

Later today, my dear Korean roommate is receiving her Patriarchal Blessing, and I am honored to be the only person she invited to watch her get it. I'm so excited for her, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Patriarch. As it so happens, it was about a year and a half ago that this same man gave me my Patriarchal Blessing. I haven't seen him since, and he probably doesn't remember me; but I remember him. I can't wait to take part in this special event. It will be fantastic, I'm sure.

Ahhh, I live for days like these. Days where the sun shines. Days where your team wins. Days where you receive what you've been waiting for. Days when you realize just how lovely your life really is.

I'm going to cut up some strawberries and read The Brothers Karamazov on the lawn.
